Chris Mullen, sales director at Premier Roof Systems started in the industry at the age of 16 manufacturing UPVC windows, then became a floor manager at the firm by the age of 18. After a six-year professional boxing career, at the age of 24, he thought it would be a great idea to start Premier Roof Systems Limited with business partner Jamie Blackwood.
And it wasn’t just a great idea, it was a knock-out…
“Premier Roof Systems is a national supplier of a variety of glass, polycarbonate and solid conservatory roof systems. We also manufacture and supply a variety of market-leading roof lanterns. Typically, Premier Roof Systems is a trade supplier but have an online shop; open to both domestic and trade.
“The main focus of Premier Roof Systems is to become the industry-leading company within the fenestration industry. We’re a strong team of incredibly hard-working individuals who share the same company vision. We’ve grown significantly since founded, have an ambitious growth plan and are committed to success.
“We have an ambitious growth plan and are committed to success. There are so many options for a solid roof nowadays and a variety of materials used for a solid roof conversion. The addition of opening roof windows and glazing panels incorporated in the roof systems means light and thermal efficiency aren’t compromised when creating an all-year-round living space out of an old and un-usable conservatory.
“From March 2011, fabricating the Eurocell conservatory roof system, we’ve always kept up to date with the market and the up and coming products. After 12 months, we hadn’t seen the huge potential in the solid roof market and decided to add the Guardian warm roof to our product range. Since then, we’ve added a variety of roof lanterns such as the Eurocell Skypod, the Korniche roof lantern, the Atlas range and we have very recently become an Ultraframe conservatory roof fabricator.
“Such a variety makes selling much easier as we have a product for just about every application. There isn’t a product out there that ticks all of the boxes therefore from a supply point of view, we need to be a solutions supplier; and we think we do just that.”
