Premier Roof Systems has confirmed plans to open a new 10,000 square feet production facility in South Shields with the creation of five new jobs. After celebrating a £1 million annual turnover figure for the first time in its history last year, the conservatory roof manufacturer and installer is now gearing up for growth in 2016 with the opening of a new production facility later this year.
Premier Roof Systems is the only manufacturer of the Guardian Warm Roof System in South Tyneside. And a total of 13 staff in the new factory will help deliver over 60 new Guardian roofs every month. Premier Roof Systems joint-owner Jamie Blackwood said: “We are grateful to our customers for their support and our staff for all their hard work to help us build a successful growing business. We’re looking forward to bringing in more staff and we’re excited about the future.”
Premier Roof Systems joint-owner Chris Mullen added: “One of the secrets behind our success has been the Guardian Warm Roof. They’re proving very popular. We’re proud to be a Team Guardian registered installer because it gives us a unique portfolio of products renowned for quality and value. And they’re all backed up by a trusted national brand.”
The Guardian Warm Roof is the first solid roof system in the country with Local authority building control (LABC) and (Local Authority Building Standards Scotland) LABSS approval. The lightweight solid roof system helps to maintain a consistent interior conservatory temperature all year round transforming separate areas into integrated flowing ground floor living spaces.
For Guardian Roof, Ross Darcy said: “Congratulations to everyone at Premier Roof Systems on the opening of your new production facility. You are a wonderful example to all Guardian Roof manufacturers installers of exactly what we can achieve together. “Premier has built a hard working team with a sharp focus on creating incredible customer value. It’s a powerful combination. And I’m delighted that Premier, its staff and customers are reaping the rewards they deserve.”
